Mullet Mods Rear Cup Holder Review
Mullet Mods rear cup holder review, check it out below.
In this post we review and show you a simple and cheap little modification that is perfect for any 70 Series Land Cruiser owner, the Mullet Mods rear cup holder. Let’s just say, we wish we saw these cup holders before we spent hours making our own front cup holder. Look we love making stuff, but sometimes there’s a better option. Anyway, let’s get into it.
Great Idea for Every 70 Series Owner
These guys are pretty damn clever. Taking one of the very annoying problems that every 70 Series owner has, being no bloody cup holders, and coming up with a cheap and effective solution.
Mullet Mods have gone and 3D printed cup holders that look amazing and are so simple to install. Such a good idea! No need to go and spend hundreds of dollars upgrading your centre console, just grab one or two of these and you will be keeping everyone in the Cruiser refreshed and happy. Anyway, we don’t have the front cup holders at this point in time so we will focus on the rear cup holder that we have fitted to our 76 Series Land Cruiser. The front option might be added soon!
Fits Two Large Bottles Easily
As we briefly mentioned before, the cup holder has been 3D printed. They have made it large enough that it can hold two large drinks easily. We both have two fairly large water bottles and they fit perfectly. This is usually a problem with cup holders not being able to fit large water bottles. Shayne drives a fairly new European sedan and she can’t fit the same water bottle in those cup holders for comparison purposes. The standard one cup holder that comes in the 70 Series doesn’t fit these water bottles either. You can see from the pictures that our large water bottle fits great as well as coffee cups and a bottle or can with a stubby cooler. The design is simple and clean as well as being super strong. Can’t see this breaking easily at all.
Fitting Will Be The Easiest Mod You'll Do!
Now fitting the rear cup holder has to be the easiest modification we’ve done to our 76 Cruiser. Seriously it is ridiculously simple.
You basically remove two screws and out these aside as you’ll need to use them again shortly. Then you remove the factory plastic panel. Now that the factory panel has been removed, place the Mullet Mods rear cup holder onto the rear of the centre console. Then line up the holes, and using the two screws you removed earlier, fix the rear cup holder to the factory centre console.
That’s it, you are done. Rear cup holders fitted and ready to go. Such a simple and effective little product. On top of that they are less than $50, $43 to be exact. Pretty damn cheap for what you get. The black looks good and matches the existing factory cup holder up front which will be more noticeable if you fit the front cup holders.
Highly Recommended
We would highly recommend these for any 70 Series Land Cruiser owner. A simple, cheap and effective modification. To top it all off, these are made in Australia by Australians. Doesn’t get much better than that. I think we will be upgrading our homemade front cup holder soon!
