Svnty Offroad UHF & Redarc Tow Pro Internal Dash Mounting Bracket for 70 Series Land Cruiser
If you’re running a GME UHF or similar CB radio in your 70 Series Land Cruiser, you’ll know the struggle of finding a mounting spot that’s both practical and tidy. We recently installed the Svnty Offroad Australian-made UHF and Tow Pro internal dash bracket in our 76 Series Land Cruiser and found it to be one of the cleanest, easiest solutions available, concealing our UHF in wasted dead space.
Why This Bracket Works
The standout feature of the Svnty Offroad UHF and Tow Pro bracket is its concealed high mounting position above and behind the glove box, which keeps your UHF and Tow Pro units well out of the way and away from potential water ingress during creek crossings or wet season touring adventures. For those that like to push their rigs through the rough and wet stuff, that’s a big win.
It’s also a great option for mounting a Redarc Tow Pro brake controller, though we didn’t use it for that ourselves – our Redarc Tow Pro was already neatly installed in the driver’s footwell. Still, if you are starting from scratch, this bracket offers a solid, elevated mounting point for both devices, concealed snugly above the glove box out of the way.
The Svnty Offroad UHF and Tow Pro bracket is CNC-routed from 3mm aluminium and finished in a textured black powder coat. It is clearly built to handle the rigours of off-road travel, and the finish looks like it’ll hold up well over time. All provided stainless steel bolts include nylon lock nuts so there should be little chance of anything coming loose on those long-corrugated drives.
Installation Experience
Installing the Svnty Offroad UHF and Tow Pro bracket was straightforward and stress-free. No drilling required; just use the existing dash bolts. The bracket slots in cleanly and securely, and all the stainless-steel mounting hardware is included. We had the whole job done in about 30-45 minutes, including time spent aligning the radio plus moving and tidying up our existing wiring.

The installation of the bracket is a little fiddly at times but extremely easy. Svnty Offroad have provided detailed fitting instructions which are easy to follow. We removed the glove box by pushing in the side tabs, and then removed the plastics as shown in the photos below.
- Glove Box Removed
- Remove this Plastic Using Clips
- Remove this Plastic Trim
- Access with Glove Box and Plastic Trims Removed
This gave us access to the mounting holes for the Svnty Offroad UHF and Tow Pro bracket. We then mounted the GME unit to the bracket, take note of where we have the lock and release tabs for the GME unit in the photos below as this is the correct fitment location on the bracket. Then screw in the provided bolts and spring washers using an allen key. Once the bracket is bolted into position, connect the power, handheld and antenna cables to the UHF unit. Then replace all plastic panels and finally the glove box.

Fairly simple and straightforward fitment process. This will obviously take longer if you have not already done all your wiring.
