Svnty Offroad 70 Series Land Cruiser Winch Isolator Bracket
If you’re fitting a winch to your V8 70 Series Land Cruiser, one of the biggest headaches is finding a clean, accessible spot for the isolator switch. After installing three winches myself, I can say this Svnty Offroad Winch Isolator Switch Mounting Bracket is the perfect solution for any V8 70 Series Land Cruiser owner.
Svnty Offroad offers two different bracket options:
- V8 Land Cruiser Bracket – Available now and designed for the 76 Series Wagon, 79 Series Dual cab, and 78 Series Troop Carrier with the V8 engines.
- Four-Cylinder Land Cruiser Bracket – Coming soon! The four-cylinder engine has a different mounting position, so a dedicated bracket is being developed to ensure the same clean fit.
This post focuses on the Svnty Offroad winch isolator bracket for the V8 70 Series Land Cruiser.
Why You Need This Bracket
When installing a winch to your 4WD, the wiring is always the pain point. Where will you mount the winch control box and the winch isolator? In most setups, neat and tidy wiring is usually an issue. This Svnty Offroad winch isolator bracket is designed specifically for the 70 Series Land Cruiser, giving you a dedicated mounting point for your winch isolator switch. No more messy wiring or awkward placements, it keeps everything neat and professional.
Installation Experience
- Time Required: Around 10-15 minutes.
- Difficulty: Easy, thanks to OEM mounting points.
- Tip: Securing the mounting bolts can be a little fiddly, but nothing major, just try and be patient 🙂
No drilling, no cutting, just a clean install using two mounting points and the hardware provided. It’s as simple as it gets.
Mount the isolator switch to the bracket using the supplied M5 nuts and bolts.
Then install the two captive nuts to the fan shroud by clipping them into place.
Now line up the bracket with the two previously installed captive nuts and using the supplied M6 bolt, hand tighten the bolt closest to the front of the car. Then insert and hand tighten the second bolt.
Once both bolts have been secured in place, use a 4mm allen key to tighten. The winch isolator switch and bracket are now mounted beside your battery for easy wiring.

Final Thoughts
If you’re installing a winch on your V8 70 Series Land Cruiser, this Svnty Offroad winch isolator bracket is a no-brainer. It’s quick to install, keeps your setup clean, and gives you easy access to your isolator switch, all while looking great. And if you own a four-cylinder model, I believe these are coming soon, or are already available by the time you read this.
The only issue with this bracket is now that your winch wiring looks so neat and tidy, you will want to tidy up the rest of your wiring in the engine bay. This is something that drives me crazy and I am currently working with Svnty Offroad in designing another bracket to mount all other fuses etc for spotlights, BCDC charger cables and more. Keep posted for this one.
