Aussie Outback Supplies 70 Series Land Cruiser Seat Covers with Rear Organisers Long-Term Review
If you’re looking for rugged, reliable, and intelligently designed 70 Series Land Cruiser seat covers, the Aussie Outback Supplies (AOS) Canvas Seat Covers with Integrated Rear Organisers are a standout choice. After more than 3½ years of use in our 76 Series Land Cruiser, we can confidently say these covers are built to last and offer unmatched practicality for touring and everyday driving.
Made to Fit the 70 Series Land Cruiser
These seat covers are designed for the 70 Series Land Cruiser, including the 76 and 79 Series variants (excluding the new 2024 76 Wagon). The fit is tight, which can make installation a bit tricky, but once they’re on, they look fantastic. No sagging, no movement, and no rubbing between the seat and the cover, just a clean, great finish that enhances the interior and protects your seats.

Heavy-Duty Canvas Built for Aussie Conditions
Crafted from 14oz waterproof poly/cotton canvas, these seat covers are made to handle the harshest environments. AOS has added a reinforced black ripstop canvas patch at the entry point; this is where most wear occurs from sliding in and out of the seat. This thoughtful detail significantly improves longevity, especially for those of us constantly hopping in and out during offroad adventures.
We previously used neoprene covers, which were fine for a while but didn’t hold up over time. They wore out quickly especially around that entry point area from getting in and out of our rig constantly. In contrast, the AOS canvas covers are easy to wipe down, don’t trap dirt or moisture, and are perfect for wet clothes, muddy gear, or dusty touring days.

Integrated Rear Organiser: A Game Changer
The integrated rear seat organiser is what truly sets these covers apart from other 70 Series Land Cruiser seat cover options. Each front seat cover includes a 10-pocket organiser sewn directly into the back, no straps, no Velcro, no shifting around. It’s a clean, seamless design that looks like it came with the vehicle.
We’ve used these pockets for everything: torches, headlamps, toiletries, gloves, straps, snacks, and more. Whether you’re touring remote tracks or just heading out for a weekend camp, having this kind of built-in storage is a massive convenience. It keeps gear off the floor and within easy reach.
Compared to other brands that offer strap-on organisers or separate storage solutions, this integrated design is far superior. It’s one of those features you didn’t know you needed until you’ve used it, and now we wouldn’t go without it.
Designed to Match Your Interior
The grey canvas colour matches the 70 Series Land Cruiser’s interior perfectly. It blends in with the factory trim and doesn’t look aftermarket. It’s a subtle upgrade that adds functionality without compromising aesthetics (well not the best aesthetcis in the 70 Series Land Cruiser generally but you get my point).
Vehicle Compatibility
These seat covers are compatible with:
- Toyota 76 Series Wagon – Up to Current Model
- Toyota 79 Series Single Cab GXL – Pre-Sept 2016
- Toyota 79 Series Dual Cab GXL – Up to Current Model
Note: These covers do not fit the new 76 Wagon (2024 model). However, we believe AOS is actively working on a version to suit the updated configuration.
Australian Made: Built to Last
Manufactured in Perth, Western Australia, these seat covers are proudly Australian made. That’s important, not just for supporting local manufacturing, but because they’re designed with Australian conditions in mind. From red dust and desert heat to coastal humidity and muddy tracks, they’ve handled everything we’ve thrown at them.
After 3½ years of use, ours still look like new. No fading, no tearing, no stitching coming loose. Plus they fit even better than when they were new. That kind of durability is rare, especially in gear that sees daily use in tough environments.

Price vs Value
These seat covers are priced slightly better than Black Duck seat covers. The difference isn’t huge, but when you factor in the integrated rear organiser, we believe the AOS covers offer better overall value. If you’re someone who values smart storage and a clean interior, the added functionality makes them a superior option.
